Alldeles bredvid hotel Carolina, där jag bott flera gånger, på Kolokotroni i centrala Athen finner man utanför ett fönster dessa två hönor på en pinne.



Bredvid hönorna finns en skylt med texten \"Booze Cooperativa\", innanför fönstret en stor lokal med högt i tak, en bar, långbord, den förefaller frekventeras av mestadels unga människor, musik kunna understundom strömma ut därifrån, där är utsmyckat med målningar och affischer på väggarna, ser trivsamt o livligt ut om man kikar in utifrån... Nyfikenhet väcktes då jag passerade där flertal gånger, dock utan att kliva in.. Nå google finns ju för att stilla nyfikenhet med, och detta var vad jag fann om stället då jag googlade ;

En samlingsplats för  diverse kulturella evenemang och utställningar o nåt sånt alltså.... Intressant, kanske man ska ta o kliva in där en annan gång o kika närmare  :flower:

Well, Booze Cooperativa is one of those places. It is a café, club and centre for alternative art all in one, hosting dozens of unusual events in the shape of art exhibitions, theatre performances and video art projects. The main element of what could be described, conditionally speaking, as the café area is a decorative lamp made of \"live\", real boureki and a long and robust-looking wood table with a chess set and other board games. You will also find a computer - in case you need to access the Internet - and stacks of the latest periodicals. The restroom with its slightly kitsch brightness and colours could easily be taken for Pinocchio\'s playroom. Quite a colourful crowd - practically no tourists, though. The perfect spot for a cup of cold frappé.
By the way, the 1850 neoclassicism building is one of the oldest in Athens; it used to serve as dwelling house. In 1919 it was completely destroyed by a fire and later renovated. The building also used to house the workshop of one of the most famous dressmakers in Athens but since 1989 it is the home of Booze Cooperativa.\"
